I'm looking for advice on finding a script on the web that checks to see if a domain name is taken or is not taken. If it is taken I would like to show a list of domain availble related to what the customer wanted; for the customer to simply choose another domain related instead. A good example of this type of website is: http://domain-suggestions.domaintools.com/?q=web

I doubt such a script exists. To quote directly from the Domain Tools site "Enhancing and creating new suggestion and search technology is a full-time development job for a team of Name Intelligence employees."

But, if you like the Domain Tools one, maybe you can give their XML-API a try. Check it out here (http://xml-api.domaintools.com/)

why not use a simple domain search script and add to it a script (make it) which checks similar synonmus to the word with attachements.
