View Full Version : Looking for a new Reseller account
Nnyan 05-26-2006, 08:17 PM Hello,
OK, need a reseller account with very solid support and service. I have a pretty good idea of the highly recommended ones but I want to get some input to see if I've missed any. My price range is $20-30/mo.
Here is the minimum that I need:
1. 4GB of Disk Space
2. 50GB of Transfer
3. SSH access.
4. 50+ Domains
5. Support Forum (not just a ticket helpdesk!)
6. Personal DNS Servers
7. Personal CP
8. 3 IPs (ability to get more)
9. Fast response time to issues.
10. Customer Friendly
This is not a must have but a VERY big bonus:
11. End User Support.
Your input would be greatly appreciated so I can finallize my short list.
Thank you
KnownHost 05-26-2006, 09:11 PM The end user support not sure on but checkout Hostvoice.com or the Reseller advertising section. Hostgator is the only one I would recommend.

ByteMaster 05-26-2006, 09:46 PM Try using the WHT HostQuote feature. That way you can whittle down to exactly what you want and then research those. :)
Good luck to you!

Do a search at http://www.webhostingtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=4
I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for, but I know it'll be tough to find good quality end-user support. :peace:
KGIII 05-27-2006, 04:41 AM Can you dump SSH for support (priced) and a feature set close to that? If so then consider allreseller.com BUT don't if you're not able to accept the loss of SSH.

Shock Hosts 05-27-2006, 04:50 AM www.resellerzoom.com offer End-User Support but their prices are slightly overpriced.
morehost 05-27-2006, 05:31 AM getting ssh on a reseller account is little difficult bcoz that is a security compromise...
if you can increase budget, you can o for a vps.. or else... avoid ssh
chamelion 05-27-2006, 06:11 AM my suggestion, up your budget to the mid $30 range and get a VPS from jaguarpc. you'll get all the above.
WireNine 05-27-2006, 04:20 PM The only web hosts I know that offer end-user support are CartikaHosting and ResellerZoom, take a look at them. Do some research :)
Could you please explain a little more about the Personal CP request?
mripguru 05-27-2006, 06:01 PM my suggestion, up your budget to the mid $30 range and get a VPS from jaguarpc. you'll get all the above.
VPS' accounts (IMHO), are good for one or two sites that have outgrown a traditional shared environment (either in resources or in the site owner's need for control). However, it's not really a good idea to resell hosting off a VPS (at least as a semi-long term solution).
Just my own $0.02 cents.
Skyview 05-27-2006, 09:16 PM I know Webkore (http://www.webkore.net) also offers end user support but I don't think you'll be able to get the SSH on most reseller plans.
ldcdc 05-28-2006, 11:40 AM www.resellerzoom.com offer End-User Support but their prices are slightly overpriced.Hmm... and here I was thinking that even their premium packages are quite decently priced considering they come with end user support for no additional charge and overselling enabled.
But of course, if one buys a reseller account with the aim to compete with 1and1, nothing is too cheap. :P
Shock Hosts 05-28-2006, 05:39 PM The prices are good considering you can get end-support. But for people that don't need nor want end-support it is expensive.
IH-Rameen 05-28-2006, 05:43 PM Price seems reasonable, any specific control panel in mind?
premium20 05-29-2006, 03:24 AM Bliksem Hosting also offers end user support. And they seem to have a good reputation here, as is the case with Hosting Zoom and Cartika Hosting
