I can't think of a reason why you would want to see other people's warnings. If the link was available for all to see, you might click on 100 member's links before you found one that actually had a warning to see. I'm sure you have a lot more to do with your time ;)

I think I still have a warning for ad trashing. I'm proud of it too. :D

Post it again and I'll get another if I see it. *chuckles like a madman*

I can see why I'd like people to see MY warnings but I can't see why most people would want to have that sort of feature enabled.

My current warning is (I think), for the record, justified. I deserved it. They warned me and I deserved it. I do believe they'd claimed some sort of selling of the business and then turned around and offered ads for it later. I broke the rules and trashed said ad. I got the warning and now avoid the ads section unless I'm pushing the limits...

Anyhow no, I can't imagine why most people would want to see warnings nor would they want to show them. Some are accidents, others are just plain attempts at breaking the rules because they didn't read them, and still some are just attempts to buck the system a little bit. You could always screen shot your warnings and link to them with one of your two links in your signature and that would have some entertainment value if you had enough points against you to make it so that you were constantly near the limit or something?

But... Alas, I see (I've been on this page for a while) that it's updated by Anon for some of the more realistic reasons and I don't want to waste all of this time so I'll let you read what I wrote. Darned reality wins again! Besides, if you're so bored as to want to watch points against folks then you need to find something better to do. If you ever wanna see mine just ask and I think I've even got some spare ones to rebel with.

KGIII

P.S. It makes sense. You can rebel a little (overt violations WILL get you banned which does you no good at all) but not enough to disrupt things. It's a good system.

No i mean if others are able to see if the other person had been a "bad boy" or not it helps improve getting into buisness or pming the wrong guy :). I dont remember when was the last time i posted some ad or something since it just gets pushed back all the time so its waste of time to copy paste all that stuff again and again :). Signatures do better job, but KGB one is bound to break rules occassionaly cause WHT is not the only place a user goes to and one cannot remember all the rules of all the forums they been to, its not worth it .

WHT is not the only place a user goes to and one cannot remember all the rules of all the forums they been to, its not worth itIf you went to another country and got arrested for breaking the law, I don't think they would let you go if you explain to them that you visit a lot of other countries and it's not worth it to learn their rules ;)

If it's not worth it to someone to learn the rules of a particular community and keep them sorted out properly, they shouldn't be visiting that community.

Ok now lets be practical .

First: U wont daily, ever 2 mins or so be in another country unless ur superman (it takes only 2 seconds to switch to other forum though)

Second: When u go to a country u dont directly go to court or some legal institute to first read the rules do u now ? NOOO U DONT so what u do ? Follow the simple basic rules (which applies to almost all countries and also same goes for forums, but those rules that gets u a warning are not common to all forums so do keep that in mind next time ).

When u go to a country u dont directly go to court or some legal institute to first read the rules do u now ?No, you do your homework in this regard befor you ever step foot in that country. That's what the smart traveler does.

Follow the simple basic rulesRight.

but those rules that gets u a warning are not common to all forumsRight. But don't expect any sympathy from the people who moderate the forums if your reason for not knowing the more specific rules is that "it's not worth it."

The rules at WHT are not nearly as complex as rules governing an entire country. I browsed some of the rules some time back, only to realise that they all follow the same rationale, and the rest are just common sense stated in words. WHT rules are not that hard to follow.

So if I had "Free the wookiees!" I would get a warning? :P You didn't see it on the rules page, because there isn't a rule on that. There is, however, this rule: "May not contain any pricing, plan, sales, etc. details" -- which if you imagined for a second what WHT would look like without this rule ... would make perfect sense.
So even if ur careful they will catch you somewhere if they wanted to :)
Well, so far so good. ;)

Sure, we go around stalking certain members, we get so bored here, there is nothing better to do :s only a couple break rules so we watch them all the time.

Now for reality ;) We get heaps of reports a day of rules violations, we have a heap of moderators who also spot problems before they are reported. Many warnings are sent daily to many members, but for the most part, the majority of members have never had a warning or if they did get one, it was an embarrassment enough that they followed the rules impecibly after that. There will always be a few who think it is their right to bend the rules as they see fit.

I think if ALL mods took a full day off at the same time, you would all appreciate how much work is involved in keeping this place reasonably clean.

There's another way :) => If you'd like to show your warning levels in public, why not put them in your SIGNATURE?

I think the MOD apologised when he was told what he had done :P

You say its not worth it or you dont check the rules of every forum for all you know then WHT owns your business & your soul because you posted on the fourm.

No in honesty i have no current problem with the warning system i have 2 and i'm not really concerned.

1. Signature lol, I was signing way to many emails and thus manually wrote my signature automatically lol i'm always doing this most times i see it before the mods on this occasion i didnt.

2. Self promoting this one is a grey area, as far as i was concerned my post was justified but maybe i did sail a little close to the wind but what the hell, they think i did i have learnt my lesson and in future when replying to such thread i will open a ticket and get the post "evaluated".

The truth is if you commit a rule break expect to be punished and ignorance isnt a defence, and to be honest i know how bad a board can become once the mods stop caring!

Keep up the good work
