Okay guys,

I've been struggling with this case for +5 days now, and I'm getting desperate. I've contacted my CPanel distributor several times but appearantly he can't help me because he's giving vague or undetailed answers or simply doesn't reply to me.
I've also upgraded my kernel 2 days ago so it can't be a kernel thingie or whatever.
Now here's the thing:
in the reseller WHM, when I try to add a new account (custom plan, setting custom limits, so not from a package), and I click create, it gives the following error:
Results of your request
You do not have access to create that package (undefined)!
It drives me nuts! :bawling: My customer is getting pissed because it is taking me so long, and I don't know what to do. :(
Also, sometimes it gives this error:
Sorry you cannot create this account because you are out of disk space. You only have 0 Megabytes remaining, and this account requires 100.
(although the reseller account DOES have enough space in it)

Please, I've asked all my friends who work with CPanel/WHM, my distributor, my server's ISP, and they all can't help me. :(
I hope that you WHT ppl can solve this for me, with me, as always. :)

Regards

The problem is related to the features you have given the reseller. When you go to the reseller center > edit resellers, what features did you specify the reseller had acess to - specifically, what limitations did you emplace on his account?

The account is limited by Resource Usage (800MB space, 8000 MB transfer).
All the options in the checkbox-list are active, except these four features:
-Allow Creation of Packages with a Dedicated IP
-All Features (warning: root access)
-Never allow creation of accounts with shell access
-Restart Services

And DNS is configured correctfully too.

Try running /scripts/fixquotas from SSH and see if that helps.

Already tried. Didn't work. Thanks for the tip though.

OK then, here's another stab:

Add up the disk space allocation of all the account the reseller has created. Do they equal 800mb? If so, that's your problem. The accounts are limited not really by usage but by allocation.

NO! I'm afraid it's really a major issue/bug, because that's the thing: THE ACCOUNT IS EMPTY :bawling:

Just untick the limited by resource usage box, and it should work.

Side note:

The /scripts/fixquotas fix simply fixes the quota displayed by Cpanel, not the WHM reseller settings. :)

Yes but that would be like giving the reseller unlimited space & transfer! How can I offer quality service if I do that?

It just means they can go over their account limits - charge them for overusage.

This is what we do, and it works well. It just means we have to be dilligent in checking their diskspace and bandwidth usage.

Any idea howcome it doesn't work when you use WHM as it should be used?
Ooh God I love Plesk! :stickout So much easier than WHM.
I agree that CPanel is nice though. But WHM!! :o

The feature works the way you're trying to use it, but there does seem to be a problem on your server. I suggest you try to get someone at DarkOrb to log in to your box and look at this for you.

Yep, /scripts/emailnick is always handy :)

He had an older kernel which was recently updated which was causing the problem.

Not true Tim. I still had the problem afterwards. Maybe a misconfiguration during the actual install?
Anyways; I tried what voxtreme-matt told me to do and it works. :)However it's not that practical and I'm still looking for a bugfix or someone who knows what's wrong... :(

I have contacted you on ICQ so we can get this problem fixed.

Are quotas enabled on your system?

I believe it's a bug in WHM, so you won't be able to get it working - then again I haven't tried recently so could be wrong.

DarkORB support would probably be your best bet on this. http://support.cpanel.net/
(just fill out the form)

Hello,
After taking another look at this I have resolved the problem. It needed to run /scripts/fixquota and the option in WHM for Reseller Center was wrong. I even created a test account and it worked ;)

I suggested /scripts/fixquotas on Page 1 and was told it was tried and didn't help. So what was the WHM setting you changed?

There is no setting in WHM set when I logged in at all I choose and put in 1000 accounts in one of the check boxes that we use as default as well and it works fine.
