Anyone tried that ??
Incredible Price but heard that they are kinda new
Wonder how their support and service like and whether they can last in long term

No, but by looking at the topic, the fact this is a completely new user and the speed you reply yourself on this topic, I strongly have the feeling this is done for self promotion.

Correct me if I'm wrong

You don't have to feel guilty to get quite suspicious about this thread as a whole.

I have know idea who this Raydon person is.
I read these forums several times a day.
I am not self-promoting. I follow the rules.
But I feel must defend myself as I am not
running a scam. I sure hope no one else dares
to ask for an opinion about SlabHost again in this
forum.

Cheers,

Domain Name : Created- 2002-05-14 , so i dont think that anyone on this board will be able to provide you with their expirience with this host, at least not valuable one, because you need a little more time than a week or so to say if their are good or not.

Slabhost and Raydon have very similar grammar skills (or lack there of).

Also note that Slabhost states that he reads the forums several times a day and yet host user profile state that he has been a member since 2-14-2002.

I am looking through SlabHost's post history at this moment, here's an interesting one:

On 5.22, coux posted in the job offers board that he will design professional logos for a flat rate of $20 + postcard (for the entire logo). Sound kinda cheap to you? Me too. Slabhost responded later that day to see sample logos. Someone's looking for cheap, I wouldn't have even clicked on the subject in the thread index.

On 5/20 slabhost responded to a post about bad english and hosting services stating that english should not rule the itnernet (maybe that explains his)

Well, let me put it this way, there's nothing 'damning' there. Only that Slabhost uses terrible english in the message board, and that he has extremely low prices.

The only piece of somewhat significant evidence is that both Raydon and Slabhost use similarly bad grammar/spelling, which could just be conincidental, but is strange that both are newbie status right now,m and slabhost stated that he checks the bulletin several times a day.

Hey no need to argue about this, why doesnt one of the Mod's just have a look at the IP addresses of the two posters?

That would settle the deal quickly, if he's not lying and it wasn't self promotion, excellent, you have a really nice client.

If in fact it is self promotion, either come clean or get the hell outta here, we dont like liars.

Well, there are tons of free proxy sites, so one should consider much more than a simple IP check (=grammar skills , my posts are full of mistakes)

:)

Something for you to read with all the spare time you seem to have available.

From the link... Ok I got curious. :)

Ive been noticing a lot of this lately... Based on my observations from a totally neutral standpoint.

Finally, trolls create a paranoid environment, such that a casual criticism by a new arrival can elicit a ferocious and inappropriate backlash.

As far as slabhost is concerned (back on topic) I havent heard or tried them yet. If you do, let us know how it goes :)

You guys are getting a bit ridiculous.. if you are suspicious don't go over it over and over in the thread, find one of the mods and ask what he thinks, checks IPs ect. Help the guy learn about the host... and if you start getting pissed off don't bash the poster, find every nic nack thing about the host you don't like ;)...
Example...
Hey Raydon,
Slabhost is a quite new company (A week maybe?), so I don't think anyone would know about them, and this company does not have a reputation established yet. Perhaps you would be better off going with a company that has been established, has a good customer rating, and won't be in the shakey start up stages.

They are using mainly cogent bandwidth... I wouldn't run some mission critical on them...

They also look like a reseller for onefusion.com so you can look for feedback on them as well..

Good luck!

I'm just seconding what Rewdog said, but I belive the mods have said before just click the link that says " Report thread to moderators " and they will come check it out and investigate. :-)

slabhost, sorry for all the trouble that i had created.

really don't understand what these guys are thinking about.
nothing to mention and they start critising our grammar...

Think i better stay quiet next time round....don't think the people here are that friendly anyway...at least for some

Those who replied or gave some advices .... i appreciated it. Thanks

If there are ways to prove that Raydon = slabhost, pls do so ... coz i will be curious to find the outcome too.

The way I see it:
SlabHost has copied our unique hosting plan. :(
Also they're pretty new, and what gnorthey00 said sounds right to me... :o
My God please why can't you guys invent your own unique way of offering services?? Is it because you're lame? Because you don't have time to do it? Because you like to copy ppl's ideas and make money out of other people's work?
Anyways; I'm not going to judge you regarding this (others will do that for me :D ), because I know that lame companies like that won't get as far as honest, hard working companies in this biz. :)

I'm not saying you're not providing a good service, but if you want to grow and make it in this business, you have to start with being HONEST and INVENTIVE. ;)

Best regards,
No hard feelings -I hope you'll learn out of the reactions-,

Thomas

ya, i think slabhost must hav copied their 'unique' plan from GHS. although they seem to hav invested. i mean, they hav 'phpmanager' but they don't seem to hav any support forums.

I"ve been doing it for nearly 8 months, and I'm still not 100% positive the business plan will scale to 100,000 customers, or 10,000 for that matter :D

Nothing is ever for sure, what worked for us when we had 200 customers failed miserably as we climbed to over 1000 customers requiring total overhauls to how customer support was approached as well as how and where we got our servers. Just a thought.
