I guess this is the most appropriate forum, as I am sure many web hosts have to deal with this too.
I recently had a little spate of members of my url redirection service using it to spam gay chat rooms advertising their pay porn sites. And about once a week I get some other idiot who signs up and then spamvertises their URL. Of course all spam complaints sent to abuse are replied to and dealt with - even though mail cannot be sent from our server (it is never the origin of the spam) we take spamvertising of NeatURLs and spamming of other forums such as chat rooms just as seriously and terminate spammer's accounts. I even recommend to people who complain to me at abuse to also report the spam to spamcop.net so that the spammer can be dealt with at source.
Anyway, I am sure it is because of this recent little spurt of spam that I am now getting quite a few ppl emailing me with infected emails (they are all sent to my abuse mailbox) which is quite childish really. As if I am stupid enough to let myself be infected by email - duh.
Right, the question. Does spamcop deal with this type of abuse email? Is their a spam reporting service that does. I love spamcop, saves me having to do the digging around in the headers by hand.
