give me a idea about domain Backorder
i had try to register a domain name in godaddy but its already taken and i had backorder that domain for $18 . now i want to know if the domain orner not able to give me the domain what will happen to my $18 and what godaddy will do next. give me more details about it

If you backordered it, the domain owner won't be giving it to you. Backordering means if the current owner lets it go, Godaddy will try to get it for you when it's released.

If you don't get that domain, you can't get your $18 back but can use it to try to get another one.

You need to have an active email address in the domain's Admin Contact and you need to unlock the domain. Then log into GoDaddy and request a transfer to them.

Stu2 is right... but as with everything, "certain restrictions apply' - "your mileage may vary" etc. ;)

Basically you can transfer from one registar to another as long as as you didn't register or renew the domain within the past 60 days. (This is a general statement subject to the interpretation by various registrars).

Instead of GoDaddy, have you considered www.Name.com ? They have a $5.99 transfer in special. They have been very nice to me.

That's a good deal from a respected registrar. I get $6 at MyDomain but I don't whether that's available to anybody, or they just like me :)
