as you guys have noticed, I have been ticked off lately at your-site.com because of e-mail issues that have lasted most of this past month. the support team denied any problems or whatsoever and tried placing the blame on my ISP:eek:

now I get an e-mail saying they are chaging mail servers because of the problems they have been having over the last month:confused:

bare the e-mail issue, I have been happy with them but there is something to be said about honesty and trust in your dealings with customers.
with so many hosting horror stories, I should be glad about their reliability and almost 100% uptime but this "honesty" thing bugs me.

whatyall think?

well a month might be a little long, but mail issues can be tricky to nail down sometimes. It's one of those things that can have a hundred and one different causes.

Were I in your place I'd probably stick with them. If the mail issue gets cleared away shortly, and you've been happy with them otherwise, it makes sense not to go through the trouble of host searching again - not knowing if you'll end up back here with a real horror story :)

Email is one of the hardest things to deal with for hosting companies. We all agree that we need to offer it as a service, but when problems happen it can be the hardest thing to pin point. I have seen customers come to me with "I am not receiving emails" and it turns out that the person sending them emails is not sending it to the right place.

If you have been happy with the companies uptime and service and your account has everything you need, then why leave? At least you know they are trying to fix the problem by replacing the mail server. Though they shouldn't have lied to you, but who knows, maybe they really thought it was your ISP....
