after much much research, my quest for a reseller account has boiled down to 2 companies:
pixelseven.com
surrenderonline.com
they have appropriately priced packages that I think fit my needs and are fairly reputable on these boards.
anybody that thinks otherwise speak now or hold your breath forever:cool:

which one would you guys recommend over the other and why? I am especially interested in personnal experience with them

a few details:
most of my pages will be static HTML with very little scripting.
I am a newbie at this reseller thing so i might need someone to hold my hand every so often as far as getting stuff like forums to work properly.
traffic won't be an issue: local businesses

thanks a bunch

pixelseven would my recommendation...

haven't used surrenderonline.com, but Sean from pixelseven has been really good about problems I've had with revecom and he's setup several things in a neat way. The server I'm on is well maintained as well... no high loads either :).

I'd say give em a try... they're worth it...

Hey!

I've not used PixelSeven so I can't provide you with any personal experience there, but I've had quite a few dealings with Phillip at SurrenderOnline.

I've found his support to be fantastic - he's always willing to go that extra step to help sort out technical and sales queries. And he's patient with newbie questions, too. ;-)

Their new reseller server is at DV2 so the network quality is great.

I don't think you'll go wrong with SurrenderOnline. Tell Phillip I sent you! ;-)

I don't know about SurrenderOnline, but I'm right now with PixelSeven and it's being great. Uptime is wonderful (much better than HostRocket, my previous host) and support has been very kind and effective to each and every one of my inquires. So I definately recommend PixelSeven.

Well, i just signed up yesterday as a reseller with onefusion , i will not recommend them, coz im a selfishman, i want the server always fast, if you move there, you will be placed in our new server.. and i dont like that.. thats why i will not recommend them to all of you!!!

Just my kidding 2 cents. :D

badr, I was also deciding who to go with..still undecided. PixelSeven looks very good and I heard alot of good things about them. Has anyone else noticed how many sites now have people sitting in chairs or just standing there looking up at you or shaking somebody elses hand with cheesy smiles on there faces? Why do so many hosting sites look like this.
p.s. I was referring to the picture on SurrenderOnline

Since i had part in many aspects of the marketing of SurrenderOnline and also the design elements that were going to be added to the SurrenderOnline site i thought i would answer your question.

*** I Hope im no forums rules are being violated here ***

Marketing and research shows that having people on a website makes the visitor feel more comfortable and relaxed.

Depending on what market you are aiming at the corporate or home/private pages you have to create your site according to this.

The lady on our page has a soft smile and a warm welcome feeling for newbies and professionals alike!

We try use the picture to portray a message " Friendly Professional etc."

Most of the other pictures are for purposes mentioned above.

Even a pic of our team would be a positive so people can see who there dealing with.

I hope this answers your questions.

Kind regards, :)

I have often had well over 4 hour support chats with phillip from surrenderonline. Not because there servers suck, I am just the type of person that likes to have everything answered to set my mind at ease. I would suggest them for ANY newbie or anyone else fro that matter. The support is great the speed is great and the up time is 100% literally. If you have any questions feel free to pm me.

Well many sites look like Microsoft site too...;)

Sorry to say that MC is not the first site to use a picture on there website and also the Three Guide me buttons at the bottom!

We created the site to be as easy to navigate as possible - maybe the person that designed the mc site had the same idea in mind.

It works for us, and i like it! :)

Regards,

P.S Thanks Marc you have pointed out this once before! Ohh and Sorry that someone posted our domain name in your forum one of your um customers pointed it out to me. Lucky you banned it!

Not banned, just the post removed because it looked too much like advertising. Don't worry!

That was 4mths ago dude. I think they have their own boxes at Dv2. I could be wrong though. Although your post didn't sound like a genuine question to me. More like a loaded question maybe?? Don't take offense. :) This is just the way it looks from here. :)

Sorry i was away for a few days on business...

Well that post four months ago was for a client that had to move from us due to the fact that his site was getting to big for our shared hosting accounts.

Reading over the post it actually does sound like we are moving our selves etc. but hay...

Aussie Bob i think your right about the loaded question there wonder who he is working for ( eheheh )

And also yeap our reseller boxs are at dv2 but we try keep these boxs and there domain secret because of the very unethical FORK bombings thats been going on recently!

Kiwi thats cool i dont mind just someone pointed it out to me and i thought the same thing as you ' it looks like i put someone up for an ad' so i was expecting a thread in WHT eheh.

Kind regards all

You have hidden your true intention so well:

http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=36752

that it is impossible to see even after you have pointed it out.

Maybe you should think about a career in politics :D

Since you have no idea about SurrenderOnline Business i dont think your in a position to talk at all... Since your working for your self you must have a bone to pick with us.

e.g this thread and other
http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=36434

Maybe your a paid thug? ;)

Whatever your motives are we have a good customer base and a comfortable one - If the post you keep linking to everyone is ment to damage us why in the world would we leave it un-edited, We have nothing to hide!

Maybe the mods should take a look at some Ip's in this thread...

We are to busy at the moment testing a new server for our sites instead of playing with spliters like yourself.

In either case your a competitor or someone trying to win posts!

If you have any other questions please do not hestitate to contact our sales department and we can give you more info about the company! sales@surrenderonline.com

Hope im not breaking any rules here...

Kind regards,

Whats with all this bagging? Have you ever hosted with surrenderonline? Or anyone for that matter. It just seems you are coming on here to start issues where they are not needed. And for the record when dealing with surrenderonline I have spoke to many of their full time staff and they are very helpful. Please take you immature bagging somewhere else and stop spending your lunch time at school TRYING to bring other people down.

Can't look up your ABN because the one you supply on your website "ABN 75560239059" gets the following error message:

*****************************************
ABN provided is not ACN based
ASIC is the national regulator of companies
This ABN does not belong to a company
*****************************************

Like I said, I realise it is just a mirror trick.
