Hi,
Just tried to renew 3 .ORG domains with RegisterFly. Two had "whois protection" enabled one did not.
Received 3 "Renewal/Extend domain Request" emails from RegisterFly with OrderId's and info on the combined transfer/renewal as they are now ICANN accredited, and the domains are being transferred from Enom at the same time. So far so good.
Then we got 1 (one) email from do_not_reply@myorderbox.com with subject "Transfer Authorization for domainname.org" (the domain without whois protection) saying:
Dear Customer,
RegisterFly.com, Inc. has received a request from Domain Services [support@registerfly.com] on Tuesday, May 16, 2006 for us to become the new registrar of record, for domainname.org
You have received this message because you are listed as the Registered Name Holder or Administrative contact for this domain name in the WHOIS database.
Please read the following important information about transferring your domain name:
You must agree to enter into a new Registration Agreement with us. Click Here (http://manage.registerfly.com/servlet/ViewAgreementServlet?formaction=legalpage) to review the full terms and conditions of the Agreement
Once you have entered into the Agreement, the transfer will take place within five (5) calendar days unless the current registrar of record denies the request.
Once a transfer takes place, you will not be able to transfer to another registrar for 60 days, apart from a transfer back to the original registrar, in cases where both registrars so agree or where a decision in the dispute resolution process so directs.
If you WISH TO PROCEED with the transfer of domainname.org, you must respond to this message by clicking the below link:
Approve Transfer Link:
http://manage.registerfly.com/ servlet/ConfirmRfaServlet? etc etc
(Note: If the above link appears to be broken, copy and paste it in your Browser's Address Bar)
Important - If you do not respond by Sunday, May 21, 2006, domainname.org will not be transferred to us
If you DO NOT WANT the transfer of domainname.org to proceed, then don't respond to this message or click on the below link to cancel the transfer request.
Cancel Transfer Link:
http://manage.registerfly.com/ servlet/ConfirmRfaServlet? etc etc

So I clicked the Approve link for this one domain as asked.
Then I had a look at the Approve and Cancel links which pointed to http://manage.registerfly.com and noticed that RegisterFly's reseller account with myorderbox.com seems to be at http://registerfly.myorderbox.com - where the price of a .ORG is going for US$1.80 - which is cheeky, but not a problem.
The problem is, that the two domains with the whois protection did not receive the "Transfer Authorization" email from myorderbox.com - presumably because our email address was blocked by RegisterFly - so we can't Authorise their transfer!!! D'oh!! :dunce:
Advice: If you are renewing domains with RegisterFly, disable whois protection before you try to renew them.
