Educational, and entertaining :D On chroming a case: Local motorcycle shops... people are always chroming bits of motorcycles so they'll know where it's done. Also they're a bit over the edge so they don't tend to laugh at you when you tell them you want to chrome a computer. That's reason enough to like these guys. On cutting holes in your case: I have cut holes in the tops of computers and not removed internal components but it isn't a good idea. There's a tremendous amount of vibration. It's worth the time to remove the metal panels you want to cut. Greg Moore akashik 05-24-2002, 12:52 AM http://www.pcpowerzone.co.uk/ only related by subject, but offtopic (linked from Tim's page above) ... That has to be the most amazing example of 'brushed steel' photoshopping I've ever seen in my life :) Greg Moore MGCJerry 05-24-2002, 01:23 AM Hmm... I always thought of doing the acrylic glass thing to my computer cause I think it'd be neat... Then line the top of heatsink with that glow-wire, and the frame of the gasket of the acrylic, with a black case, with custome lettering and some chome parts. *whoa* I really need to get off this medication. Imagne the effect if you could somehow put that glow wire on the fan blades and watch it spin... akashik 05-24-2002, 01:27 AM Originally posted by MGCJerry Imagine the effect if you could somehow put that glow wire on the fan blades and watch it spin... dizziness? :D Greg Moore MGCJerry 05-24-2002, 01:35 AM dizziness? :D Now imagine your friends staring at it when they're high, stoned, and/or drunk... ;) |
