Hello there,

i have a domain (kav.in) , which i bought before 1 yr. Now i am a themer and also learning web designer, i am setting up my portfolio with my icons and designs.

One of my friend told , getting a .com domain would be helpful in bringing up the site in google search and also page rank..

Is it true? Please share your opinion .

If So i am now thinking of selling mine and buying some .com domain .. :S

hmm....does it really matter to you?
thats a 3lettered domain name, which usually costs a bit, except its a .in so i dont know.
You wont be able to get a small .com like that for cheap.

Domain's extension means literally 0.00 in SEO. Like someone pointed out earlier on these forums (Stu, was it you?): 'content is the king'.

Good luck.

'Twas me. But it's old folklore really. The domain extension is irrelevant for google serps. Content is king... well plus a xxxxload of linkbacks :) . I like your existing name also. I'd keep it and use it.
