Is there any way to see how many hits a certain website gets a week or month?

If for example, I look up Davidbeckham.com on Alexa, it will tell me it has a traffic rank of 15,941, and it also says traffic rank for today, 39,742. The 39,742 isn't how many people have visited today is it?

whatever

No, the traffic rank on Alexa would mean that website was the x most visited website based upon Alexa's users/

Most well visited sites have stats available. A popular programme to calculate stats is "awstats". If you really want to know how much visitors a certain site has, and it can't be found on the site, just ask the owner of the site, he'll probably know.

He's looking for the stats of other sites, not the stats of his own site .

No, not really. For that information you would have to go to the owner or hoster for.

As for Alexa's rating, I really do not give an ounce of weight to it, seeing as it's justified only on people who use a rather poor toolbar.

check awstats for detailed information.

I think the OP is trying to get the stats for sites that are not necessarily his/hers.

Other than the idea you could get from Alexa, there is no other way that I am aware of...

hi,

There are not so trusted site by which you can count your hit. you can try your trafic in alexa(http://www.alexa.com) . but alexa is not so accuarte. if some body wants to increase the alexa rank then that can be increased easily.

Alexa has absolutely nothing to do with traffic.

Looks like you copy/pasted part of my signature. :D

I ran a couple sites through statbrain and they aren't even a close. Two sites came up with 260ish visits/day, yet the two sites are pulling 50 and 1200 uniques a day. No third party site or program will ever be able to give accurate information unless it's tracking software being run on the site.
