I placed a post earlier asking what resellers would like in a resale account,
I recieved an email that said in one word "Control"
After reading through several of these forums and seeing the complaints and wants of resellers i have to agree.
Now i would like to know your opinions on a co-op of virtual hosts
Where resellers would actually "buy in" or purchase a percentage of the server they are hosted on then pay a small monthly maintenance fee the fee would be split so that half would pay for more bandwidth, software upgrades and kept a side for such purchases while the other half would pay support , techs and so on.
The owners would meet daily or weekley in a live chat to discuss
ways to improve or add to the server and vote on new upgrades,
get financials etc.
I think this would make for the best possible service and at the same time allow resellers to not resell but sell services on a server they own
let me know what you think :D

I think that would be a great idea, but hard to implement. It would be easy if both owners live in the same city and the most important thing .. is trust. Both have to trust each other.

I think a couple of people in this very forum have gone that route, splitting a server between 2-4 people. As long as they can depend on one another not to drop off the face of the planet leaving the others stuck with their portion of the tab, it would be a good deal for certain types of things.
