This poll is not for web hosts.

If you are a customer who is currently hosted by a web host. Please vote on the poll above. If you plan to host a web site in the future, please vote.

Select which control panel you would prefer to use the most. You may select multiple control panels. If choosing Plesk, Hsphere, Ensim please specify which OS platform you prefer to use with them (Windows or Linux).

I know this has been discussed 1000 times before, but this is for user-end only. Mods please do not move to hosting control panels as that forum is usually used by web hosts only.

Do not vote if you own a data center, dedicated server, control panel.

Cpanel, Plesk and HELM. Helm is not powerfull enough to handle all IIS and .Net related issues though.

"Cpanel, Plesk and HELM. Helm is not powerfull enough to handle all IIS and .Net related issues though."

Can you elaborate a little bit more why?

Since when? Helm rocks man! Cpanel Is linux based. So thats defo not gonna handle IIS & .net. Plesk for windows I can not talk about as i dont have any experience, but HELM is perfect with .net, i use it and never had a single issue yet.

PLESK is the best, hands down. Feature rich, simple user interface.. too many plusses to mention here. In comparison to others, it's simply out of their league.

This should be broken out into two polls... one for Linux and one for Windows. Some of those are linux only, and then Helm is Windows only. With Plesk, Plesk for linux might be great, but that doesn't necessarily mean Plesk for Windows is.

As far as Helm/IIS/.NET... don't know what that is based on. Plesk has a few more options, but doesn't mean it necessarily handles it better, or that Helm can't handle IIS/.NET.

Most end users to not know and do not care which control panel they are using.

From an end user perspective, I do not believe there is a dramatic difference between any of the CP's. They all pretty much do the same things. Sure some are better at some things then others, and vice versa - but, on the whole, there is not much difference between them.

I voted for cpanel. I like the ease of use and I can't add MySQL databases in a snap and I know what I am doing.

I have to agree, maybe I should have made two different threads.

I would go with Cpanel: easy to use and efficient.

I have to say I vote for cPanel and DirectAdmin. They're both powerful and DirectAdmin, especially, very stable. cPanel for the most part is too, but DirectAdmin has even fewer problems (from my experience).

Lpanel is a billing manager like modernbill, it's not a control panel.

It has to be DirectAdmin. I think by the end of 2006, it should start be become level with cpanel. The price is good, and clearly visable, and the staff are repsonding very quickly.

Hi I have alot of reseller accounts with many hosts around here and I have two kinds of control panels.

1 CPanel
2 Plesk

I like both of them cpanel helps me out with a lot of things and is very easy to use and plesk got a little confusiing but is very very organized. I would recommend you buy both of them, you got my vote for cpanel and plesk! good luck!

Thanks

I was expecting more votes for Plesk over DirectAdmin. Please keep the votes coming :)

This is from end-users perspective.

I would be ratther voting:

1. Plesk - for the excellent mail system, bad point goes to the complicated customization
2. Cpanel - Very robust, yet very fast, BAD EXIM MTA
3. Direct Admin - light and reliable, BAD EXIM MTA

DirectAdmin all the way
