I'd heard rumblings about it from a "esteemed" member of the community via IM and opted to laugh at them and say "show me proof." That was a couple of days ago. I'll stand with the same response now. Show me proof. ;)
However, it would not amaze me really. It's all being sold and changing hands all the time. When PayPal became an eBay controlled company they thought the world would end. So far so good really.
We'll have to see but right now there's no REAL evidence supporting that. I can't point and say "it has been sold." Ah well, it might be better if they did.

Guess that makes it so. The irony is that in all the places that we looked to confirm or disprove the sale, well, we didn't look there. You'd THINK we'd look on their site but, alas, no... Or if he or I did I don't recall having done so.
Now to see what sort of changes are made to eNom.
"For eNom's valued network of resellers and retail customers, the acquisition represents no changes to existing relationships," assured Stahura. "We will continue to offer domain name and related services under the eNom brand, which is one of the strongest in the domain-name business. eNom's resellers can be confident that the company will continue to build and enhance its infrastructure, enabling eNom to offer an even more robust suite of services."
Now that should be interesting to see if they follow up on that. I wonder what the buying price was?

well appently the head of demand media sold myspace for $650 million
Im not sure whether any of that money made it to Demand though, because it was through a different parent company
