A domain can not reach Cpanel, either by http://domain.com/cpanel or http://domain.com:2082. All other domains on the server work fine. This account was moved from another server, where it could reach cpanel.

Cpanel would not work on the new server, no matter what I did. I moved it to yet another server...same issue. This is what shows:

The server was not able to find the document (./frontend/Xskin/index.html) you requested

this error to your webhost.

I have tried assigning various skins, hoping it will install the needed files, but still a no-go.

Advise me, please.

Did you clear the browser cache after changing the skin?
Change the skin and take the site/cpanel in a new browser.

Does the domain itself work, I mean, can you visit it correctly? If not, your DNS probably hasn't been updated yet or changed & it might be still pointing to the other machine. Check that out & let us know :)

Tried it with the cache cleared. No good.

I can see the domain's website just fine. Did a trace to be sure it is going to the correct server.

The prompt for the username and password pops up just as it is suppose to do. After that is the 404.

If you're not able to resolve this, please feel free to open a support ticket (support desk (http://support.cpanel.net)) and one of our technicians will take a look. :)

I logged into another control panel using the root password. Then, while in that control panel, I jumped to the domain's in question easily with the "manage another account" function. After that, http://ip.add.re.ss:2082 started working. I do not understand it NOT working before I used the "manage another account" function, though.

I had decided this was a dns issue. So, I took a look at the nameservers listed for that domain, and she is using Network Solutions---which requires the IPs with the nameservers. The nameservers were correct, but the IPs were wrong. They pointed to the original server...not sure where she came up with those IPs. I think that the original server was allowing cpanel to work, as the dns was pointed at it alone. When we moved the account to another server, I think BIND was sending it on to the new server, but it was looking for Cpanel on the original. Does that make sense?

Yup.

And that's pretty much status-quo for Network Solutions. Their DNS cache system stinks.
