Q: Can I change the OS or other OS options on a "Rapid Deploy!" host.
A: NO. All hosts are pre-loaded with a configuration that many users
find to work great for all types of hosting platforms. ANY changes to
the OS will change the order to a 'Custom Order' and have a 72 hour turn
around time.

Q: Can you install a control panel on a rapid deploy host.
A: Yes. Depending on the OS support for the control panel. This will
delay the deployment time a few hours to allow for installation of the
control panel software and licensing.

Q: Where are your Data Centers?
A: We have 12,000 SQFT of cages at Savvis IDC in Fort Worth Texas with multiple gigabit uplinks to their international backbone.

Our second facility includes 21,000 SQFT of cages at Databank in downtown Dallas Texas with a blended, currently 4 carrier mix. (Savvis, Sprint, Time Warner, Broadwing). The AMD X2 4200 Dual Core is a single processor, "Dual Core" server. This server does not contain 2 physical processors.

You can put a 73GB SCSI 10K drive with the Dual Core, Single Opteron 275 for $209/month.

These are all new server offerings and we believe to be very aggressively priced to begin with.

If you are a reseller you can also take off your reseller discount from the price.

I am biased and feel the AMD x2 4200 Dual Core will perfom better overall than the Dual Xeon 2.8Ghz.

We have 2 DC's now. The first DC which is Savvis is 100% Savvis bandwidth network. The second location which is our DataBank DC has a BGP blend of Savvis, Sprint, Timewarner and Broadwing. We will also have another Tier 1 carrier lit at the DataBank location within the next 30 days or less.

For the bandwidth upgrades if you are an existing client of LT - you should have received a link to allow you to upgrade any package to the new monthly allocations.

The $25 upgrade would be available anytime at setup or down the road for the specific pacakge that you are referencing.

Most likely - yes - we would allow you to swap 2 x 80GB SATA for a single 36GB SCSI drive however please e-mail sales@layeredtech.com and they will assist you with the order.

In regards to the bandwidth upgrade link as I stated you should have received it if you are an existing client of LT's. however if you did not for some reason please feel free to open a ticket or e-mail sales@layeredtech.com directly and they will provide this for your account.

We will be rolling out Gigabit Port's in the next little while. We are currently outfitting the new facility with an upgraded network architecture which will be rolled into our existing model shortly.

We do not load control panels by default unless you order Plesk, CPanel or DirectAdmin. There are several freeware control panels that you can remote install once the server is deployed to you. An example would be Webmin.
