I don't know your specific needs and all, but I think you might receive better results if you were able to find a way that the work could be done remotely.... You would probably be able to pay less too...
Good luck filling the position, I am sure there are people out there willing to relocate :)

Hi:

Iowa is by far a wonderful place to live, a wonderful place to run a business, and an excellant place to live. Here are just a few things that make IOWA attractive....

1.) Even though you are being paid the same salary you make in other areas of the country the cost of living is so low its almost as though you are making double.

2.) Drive times to the office are 5-10 minutes, when you work a 8-10 hour day you don't have 2 hours of wasted drive time per day.

3.) Work ethic is very high, we keep employees once they come to this great state as once they get a taste of Iowa going back to the big city is a drag.

4.) 4 Hours from Minneapolis, 4 Hours from Chicage, 4 Hours From St. Louis, 4 Hours from Kansas City, a number of great places to go in a short amount of time.

5.) Although you vision a web hosting company based in a corn field this is hardly the case, we actually do live in a city, have an office complex, and do not operate farms outside our normal business hours.

While you can certainly choose to stay in a big city living in your cramped apartments, partaking in your daily traffic jams, enjoying the big city life, if you become interested in devoting your self to a wonderful company, living in a great state, reducing your bills, increasing you income, and gaining sanity in your life let us know.

PS: This position is for an in house designer, we have a full list of offsite designers we have been using for years and need someone in our office complex on a daily basis.

Sounds like a good opportunity for someone, but...

Florida > Iowa

I'll stay in the sunshine

blalox: You and me both. Though I am from Nebraska but don't see myself moving back there anytime soon. I can root for the Cornhuskers down here in sunny Florida. :)

I will say that this does sound like a great opportunity for someone willing to relocate.
