<edit>

I've decided to take a more constructive angle on this post. So, if anyone knows of any way to export ALL quickbooks data to a different program (like excel), please let me know!

Thanks!

I use Quickbooks Pro 2002 and love it.

I'm not complaining about the product... I'm complaining about the service. I will not associate with a company that treats their customers like this...

By the way... I'm also looking for a way to export quickbooks data to other programs. (excell would be good for now). If anyone knows how to do this, I'd appreciate it.

We use QB 2002 PRO and I haven't had to pay for the software since 2001 Pro (when we first started with it)

Now, we pay $30 CAD a month for Payroll service and everytime they release a new version of the software, we get the upgrade for FREE.

I use Quickbooks for the Web and it works great for me. I don't have to worry about loosing a CD keys or crashing a hard drive.

QB is great for managing financially. You can actually write a a program in VB to export QB data to Excel. You just need to get the algorithm down.

Check this out: www.datablox.com/qb/qboview.htm

Costs $99 and it exports QB data to Access, Excel, etc

QB will allow you to send data to excel. Go into reports, select the report you want to run (customers -> customer contact list). Modify the report to include whatever fields you want to include, and then click Excel. It's been awhile since I used the standard version, and I don't remember if it actually allowed export to MS Office programs (I don't think it does).

I use peachtree. I would advise most people against it unless you have some accounting knowledge. it is very powerful and very easy to messup.

I love it personally, but I've been using the peachtree since 1995

I've been using quickbooks for the web for about a month now and very happy with it.

i use quickbooks 2002 also, i think it's pretty good (kind of slow though..if your computer is not brand new)

i like how it will generate invoices, but i have not used the online feature though.

i've tried peachtree also, but just for like a day. even though i'm not an accountant, i thought it was pretty easy to use. quickbooks is the more user friendly though.
