Hello everyone. I have a question about billing systems.

We save our registrar username and password into the some billing softwares like AWBS, ClientExec, Modernbill... Do these information save directly or by encrypt into the database? is to use of these softwares trustworthy?

They are definitely encrypted, at least the likes of ClientExec, Modernbill and Ubersmith do... (i.e. a half decent billing system)

I wouldn't worry about hacking much. As long as you choose a "popular" billing software, and they update there script every so often, you have nothing to worry about!

If someone got hacked, they would report it and there would be a patch for it. So far I have never heard of anyone getting hacked unless they had a bad password that someone could guess, or use brute force.
