I signed up to Revecom with this part of the FAQ playing a pretty large part of the decision as I think its a major plus point:
What will be the name of the merchant on my customers' credit card statements?

Charges will appear as YOUR COMPANY NAME by PaySystems.com.

Now, got my account and it turns out that this is wrong and that Paysystems.com appears on all statements.

I have two questions:

1/ Anyone else think this is out of order (stating something on FAQ for a long time, when they blatently don't offer it)?

2/ Any other similar companies that do allow the company name on the statements?

Thanks :)

Not to sure on this, but I would just call them and ask. Revecom is funny that way.

I called asking when my account would go live way back when after I faxed the stuff in. The sales person told me they wait for people to call and didnt even check to see if my fax came just turned it on.

After seeing the above statement in the FAQ I always thought this was the way. It was only when I came to test my links and noticed on that page it said other wise I submitted a support ticket asking for confirmation of which it was.

The support person told me that my company name doesn't appear. I then advised them to change their website before more people are fooled :)

If you really want to laugh, call them up. All support (when I used them) was done by this one guy. He was a real space cadet, Im sure someone here knows the name of the guy im talking about.

If you're talking about Jeremy he was the only one that used to be able to get anything done a year ago. I've called them recently, and had a few different people. Monika was great and sorted things out fairly quickly. I did get to 'speak' to some eggplant on the live chat once who didn't seem to know his ass from a hole in the ground though. Oddly I ended up answering most of my own questions, which he agreed with

I have a suspicion thay outsource outside business hours (at least) so try normal hours New York time, and your chances are probably better of getting someone who has a good idea of what needs to be done.

They've had a nice run lately with settlements coming through in record time. The control panel hits a few dead spots for load times, but order pages seem to be running quite nicely. I'd probably say they're still 'pick of the litter' for 3rd party systems. Their support is still head and shoulders above our very expensive full merchant account with Payment Planet (Authorize.net)

Yeah, I'll still be staying with them as I think their support response times are very good. Its just the fact that they have such a mistake/lie/misleading statement on their website which a lot of people could be fooled by.

revecom's website has been out of date for years. When we first signed up with them, it was apparently just after they stopped offering that name on the statement thing - it has to do with something related to the legal position of who's name goes where, the same as the whole 'points redeemable at' at the head of the order form (something which never used to be there once upon a time).

I'm a little suprised that information is still there though - they must go through a fair bit of e-mail regarding that question alone :)
