This has been bugging me for a couple of hours now ... I found a really good UK host searching facility (forgotr to bookmark it) which allowed me to do a detailed search drilling right down to this level of detail (which managed to note down):

Specify UK hosts that can do the following:

Perl/CGI
PHP
ASP
Database SQL ODBC
plus email forwarding etc.,

The sites I've since found for doing an initial search include:

CNET
UKhosts
hostsearchuk

but none of these look anyhting likee the one I used before

any ideas which site I may have been using that one fine day?

It's doing my head in
