hi guys,
I know admin@ email addresses go to the owner of the box (me) but one of my clients has sent an email to his entire contact list informing them to send mail to him at admin@hisdomain.com
Is there any way I can set this up as an alias so he can receive these emails instead of me ?

LOL
Sorry...
I don't think it is possible to do this...
But thanks for the threat...
I'll advise my customers to NEVER setup an email adress "admin@..."
I didn't know that either.
Does he get its mail by a catch-all adress or an alias?

I think he should be able to receive mail on his own domain even on a admin alias  ?

He has a catch all, so he can collect absolutelyanything @ hisdomain, but managed to choose the only address he can't use.
I have had to set up a message filter in my outlook express which simply forwards the messages to him.
i hope there's a better way
i tried to add admin@hisdomain as an alias (rather than a user) but rather predictably it told me the alias was already in use.

As far as I know all admin@ addresses go to the box admin/owner. If I log in using the IP address of my box as the mail server, and my admin username and password, I'll get all admin@ mail sent to any of the virtual domains.
I read somewhere this is the case on all RaQ3's (don't know about 2's or 4's).
Try it out.. see what happens. send a few admin@ emails and see if you can collect them using your domain login or your admin login.

Maybe its just my server but..... :)
I today found out that emails to "postmaster@whatever.com" always gets sent to "admin".....just like "admin@anything.com".
Hope that helps some1. Now I just got to get my users to stop using that address!!!

Hmmm, you're right, I tried it and it came to the box admin. I tried abuse@, and that just comes to the the domain.
Are there any more in addition to :
postmaster@
admin@
Maybe we should compile a list of them
