I currently run http://www.gopherdesign.com and that has been doing pretty well for my design business. I however run http://www.gopherwebhosting.com and that has not been doing as well. I am not a fly by night business and have been doing this on my own for 3 years, so I have done the research but was hoping for some good input from you guys.

I plan to put a strong push on my hosting business with advertising and all. I am currently testing some advertising waters and hope to realease my new site in 30 days. I currently have a modified oscommerce cart that works well, but I want to switch to process that does not confuse the customer as much. The major problem is that I manually put my CC numbers in by hand. I have seen site with scripts like WHM AP and others that work real well, but I do not think that will send me the full card information. I also want a script that ties in with everything to check and register domains.

Thanks!

If you're looking for a hosting script check out the following:

Modern Bill - http://www.modernbill.com
ClientExec - http://www.clientexec.com
Ubersmith - http://www.ubersmith.com

Those scripts pretty much do it all from billing to automated hosting account setup.

I am hoping for a solution that manually lets me put in CC numbers.

The scripts that Coeus mentioned will all allow you to take orders for manual cc processing. Don't forget that you will need to run the order pages over SSL!

Yes, and make sure the CC isn't being stored in the DB, if it is the server better be super secure!

If it's just being sent to your email, there should be some sort of encryption like PGP

Yea,
I know it needs to be SSL and I know it should not be stored at all. I am hoping somebody else does this and knows of a script that does this....

I am hoping for free one. A replacement for OS Commerce.

If you want "free" you may be in the wrong business :) If you want a professional looking system then you will either have to write your own or use a commercial product.

However, have a look at http://www.phpcoin.com/ - it's free and originally designed for web hosts.

For the type of solution you are looking for you will need to purchase a system. Not many free systems have a large amount of features.

Hope that helps

I have decided to stick with my customized version of os commerce. Thanks.
