is younger better than older?
i am not talking about human being, but for pages.
I designed a new page 3 months ago, PR of the page jumps to 5 now.
I have another page of PR3, which is much older (2 years), i almost forgot the page and never update it.
3 months ago, I determined to redo for the older page, i added many things, backlinks of the page increases a lots, but its PR is still 3 now.
I can not find why, I just think SEs do not like older pages.
right? do you have same experience?

SE prefer updated sites. So yes, younger is better.

Search engines like old sites (i.e. a domain that has been around for a while), with new pages (updated recently).

Who cares what the PR is, if the rankings are good? In other words, keep focusing on the right thing, and don't get distracted. :)

ldcdc is exactly right. All of these PageRank threads are a strong indicator that your time isn't being well spent. Time would be better spent thinking about keyword terms, rankings for those queries, the number of visitors that result from them, and the results of those visits.
"Good" PageRank without those things is meaningless; get a handle on all of those things and PageRank is again meaningless.

Some people keep going on & on about PR, but if your site isn't that good, people won't go to it again regardless of what your rank is.

if PR is low, how do u get a good ranking?
it will be much better if good ranking + good PR.

My site if you put in Website Design Company (or similar) in google is......dunno where lol but I still get at least 40 hits a day (being a new business starting up its seems pretty ok to me) once even reached 400 approximately :S
