I just transferred one of my domains to Namecheap.com. I am very please with there domain management interface. There domains are rather cheap which is appealing to me and they are not an ICANN Accredited Registrar but eNom reseller. Since their domain registrations are so cheap, I wonder if they will be around for a long time. Here are my question?

If they go out of business, what happens to the entire domains in their account?

Will it be automatically be transferred to eNom?

I've got domains there as well and I think it would transfer over to the registrar they operate under. I can't think of another senario.

My question is say you were a reseller, but got offered a better deal by another registrar (pricewise). What would you do with your client base and would you loose it or be allowed to transfer them over seemlessly. This is why I am taking great care to pick a good reseller before I get to deep into anything.

If the domain RSP is operating under ICANN you don't need to worry if they go out of business because you can transfer your domain to another registrar without any problems within 10 days if you have access to your admin. contact email address.

BTW, in my openion opensrs.org is the best domain registrar i have found. Look for there RSP's to register your domains.

cheers.
