My question isn't that simple... if you had the budget to promote your business somewhere or on something or somehow in a unique fashion, what would it be? And it shouldn't include TV or Radio commercials.

Think outside the box!:peace:

If I had the money to write up a one-two page report for each unique small business in my city(100-200) and have a nice fancy cover on it I would. Each booklet would contain images and facts and how a website would promote their business. Also, I would have an action of plan of how it works. I could possibley include a little booklet or diagram on how web hosting works, since a lot of business owners in my city are old men that never have touched a computer.

That would not only take money but it would take time :)

I'd buy a building's wall in the center of Berlin, for example, and fill it with my advert :)

I'd also considering buying 2 - 3 blimps to fly just over the superbowl game. Also, have it fly over games throughout the NFL season aswell.

I would send a tshirt with my logo and web address on it to every living, breathing person and their pet cats/dogs as well.

I am not sure if this is possible. Well, it IS possible, but probably wouldn't go over too well with the NFL commission or the city where the game was held.

I would also purchase a building's wall or 2 in a large city. There are billboards/building walls next to freeways in San Francisco that you have no choice but to LOOK AT during rush hour traffic.

If I could, I would invest millions into subliminal advertising. Such as building ads, and billboards, bus ads, stuff of that kind. Magazines, News Papers, Tickers, all kinds of stuff.

heh, looks like some may have gone off the reality boat on this one, but it's acceptable since the topic stated if we "had" the money.

Anyhow, if you're looking to advertise other than tv or radio, you should definetly think about magazine advertisements.

***EDIT***(I was assuming you were speaking of a hosting company, if not, just substitute your company for whenever i said "hosting company"

Which magazines? ANY! I mean, think about it, if gilette can advertise in sports magazines, yoga magazines, music magazines, karate magazines, playboy, fhm, maxim, etc etc etc. then you can definetly bet that paying for an advertisement for your hosting company wouldn't be such an off topic advertisement either.

Now, I'm assuming the majority of the people in non-third world countries know a thing or two about hosting and the general internet, and for those who do, you can sure as hell bank $$$ for the thousands of people who see your advertisement in a very popular magazine who is looking for hosting.

Because for starters, NO hosting company advertises in magazines, therefore you have no competition, and yes its strange to see an ad for hosting, but its unique and you literally are advertising to thousands and thousands of people by just paying for 1 single ad.

If I was in that situation I'd be targetting larger companies and doing something like giving out free beer in the concierge lounges at the top of hotels like Mariott ;)

I'd make a large spacestation that's structure spells out my business's name. I'd place it infront of the moon so you could see it 24 hours a day.

In all seriousness - try the following places:

Computer training institutes, vocational instututes, public library notice boards, your local computer store, freelancers in the computing world, community newspaper, the options are literally endless, it all depends how local (or national) do you want to be and how much of an effort you will put in place.
