I have had 2 issues with 2 checkout so far today they are getting this error:

We are sorry but the Linkpt ( www.linkpt.com ) bank gateway that
2Checkout.com pays to check the
validity of credit cards entered is currently down.

We will contact you automatically via email when the sale can be
processed.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

The note is self explanatory.
A qwest router in Atlanta went down today.
The result was that for a short time, the gateway was down.
Obviously this is beyond our control.

We record the email addresses of people attempting to make purchases, and auto-email them when the gateway is back functioning.

So is the gateway back up now?

Also Tim, I have a few clients now who have not been able to complete the purchase due to problems with your credit card page. I will paste the details below:

"basically, when i submitted it, it gave me a blank grey screen. after a few
moments, the top toolbar came up, but the bottom was still blank. a white
bar appeared underneath the toolbar, but the bottom continued to be blank,
and then it just sat like that for over an hour."

Web browser for this particular client was... let me check the form... "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1"

I had him try it a couple of times, and then just took his information over the phone and entered it manually (this is not part of my business practice, and was the first time I did that).

Mine were fixed last night. If you go to the Web Hosting Forum I think someone put up a link for the gateway status..

2checkout has worked great so far. Gotten all my payments on time and with no problems.

The only thing bad I can say about 2checkout is that it doesn't integrate well with H-Sphere. Ematic (www.ematic.com) will soon have custom support for H-Sphere, with custom prices for it. So unless 2checkout is interested in competing, I'll probably end up switching. (Hint Hint)
