Hello,

I'm looking for a highly secure and reliable solution to serve as a centralized drive for the few staff members of my team to store files. We basically just need to upload things like PSD files, source code for projects, etc. It would be useful to be able to write notes and comments on files, browse via web interface, etc.; however the main thing is security and reliability. We will be storing the source code to some sensitive software systems here and need to be sure that there won't be any prawling eyes. Our staff members are on windows machines and we're not really interested in rsync or FTP. Something more along the lines of DAV or other proprietary solution. Version control would be another useful feature. Basically we just need a centralized location to store intellectual property securely as a backup of our local copies. Can anyone recommend a company?

thanks!

If you truly want to be secure, get a cheap VPS secure it yourself and use it as backup. Those tend to have more than enough space and bandwidth for the average persons needs. And you know without a doubt thats its secure.

We already have a couple of VPS's that we use for hosting and whatnot, however we're looking for more of a commercial solution with a solid reputation. I've heard of hosting companies in the past that have poked around at successful companies' files to figure out the "secret sauce" if it could in any way benefit them. This is what I'm trying to prevent.

You either trust your host or you don't. If you trust, then upload to your VPS. If not, encrypt first, then upload.
