Is there any other online chat service (like Liveperson) which is free? I just can't afford the $99/month cost for LivePerson yet.

They've got 3 versions : - Free -> with banner ads - Express -> $19.99/month - Pro -> $59.99/month FYI, Liveperson has a $39.99/m version aswell p1net 05-21-2002, 07:37 AM You should take a look at clickchatsold.com (http://clickchatsold.com) . We have been using it for a few months now and it's very good , has lots of features and best of all it's free!! ;) twrs 05-21-2002, 01:30 PM Thanks, I'm checking clickchatsold.com now. diederik, how to get HumanClick thru bravenet??? Avail 05-21-2002, 02:02 PM We're testing out an account with clickchatsold.com right now, so far it seems pretty great. I just wonder how long they can stay running offering it for free. twrs 05-21-2002, 02:42 PM I've added the CCS code on my site exactly as instructed, but when I clicked the chat button, it just didn't work (the popup didn't show up). Well, do you have any working URL that I can see? just1post 05-21-2002, 03:43 PM They recently updated the system. You could try this[1] wizard on their site to make the code. ZeonHost 05-21-2002, 07:16 PM We use LiveResponse from Kayako. It's a little buggy, but it works very well. vibehosts 05-21-2002, 09:18 PM Clickchatsold is the best we love it and so do our customers, its much better than the free humanclick at bravenet which we had for about 7 months and I've noticed many hosts have this atleast 50% twrs 05-22-2002, 02:03 AM I finally got CCS working. So far so good, much simpler than HumanClick! sammasati 05-22-2002, 02:37 AM What are the features every one likes about these services? What is better than running your own chat software? Sina 05-22-2002, 03:37 AM have CCS users noticed sometimes their site does not operate ? Our site used to get un-accessable which it was CSS and all sites using them, including themselves were unable to load html pages. Jedito 05-22-2002, 04:09 AM Yes, like now :) I browse through my site, CCS do not detect it. twrs 05-22-2002, 06:31 AM Originally posted by sammasati What are the features every one likes about these services? (similar to CCS and HumanClick) avara 05-22-2002, 07:21 AM You could always host your own Java chat, without relying on a third party service. If you have a CPanel server, some are pre-installed already. :) tsitechat 05-22-2002, 12:47 PM take a look at www.sitechatter.com its $10/month and they're very reliable and will stay in business WCSWEB 05-22-2002, 01:38 PM clickchatsold is extremely cool I just installed it and tested extensively. Its amazing how this program which is totally free offers so many features meanwhile Humanclick doesn't even give half of that for free (its not even free they have advertisement all over the place). The only thing I don't like about programs like this is that once they get everything perfect BOOM we have to pay :( they are only using us as rats in a lab! But I will use it for as long as I can :D IT won't work with Netscape 6.0 :bawling: sammasati 05-22-2002, 02:35 PM Originally posted by twrs Is there any good free chat software out there? (similar to CCS and HumanClick) I don't know if there might be something better 'cause I don't really know what makes these two so special. Do You have a list of features that you like about them? wired1 05-23-2002, 02:43 AM I found this one the other day, I havnt used it, but it runs off your server and its only $99 bucks to purchase... http://www.phplivesupport.com/ Jedito 05-23-2002, 02:52 AM Originally posted by tsitechat take a look at www.sitechatter.com its $10/month and they're very reliable and will stay in business If they are very reliable, why do you have sitechatter.com in your www? BTW, seems like a total rip off of phplivesupport.com Mxhub 05-23-2002, 06:27 AM Interesting. I never realise sitechatter.com is in his "WWW" SoftWareRevue 05-23-2002, 08:58 AM Originally posted by wired1 I found this one the other day, I havnt used it, but it runs off your server and its only $99 bucks to purchase... http://www.phplivesupport.com/ well . . . I purchased that last year, but I've been trying to get a response from the company for the past month with no results. They won't return an email or answer the phone. Although I payed a 'lot' less than what they charge now; what good is it if the company can't/won't talk with you? |
