The question is simple,

Share how you ended up finding webhostingtalk.com...

I think this should be interesting...

I was searching about 6 months ago for a web hosting account, found a web host i liked. But never heard anything about them, i then searched for a "web host review" type deal, and i came accross WHT. I lurked the boards for a guest for 3 months, and then finally registered. Must say i am very glad i found this site.

Had to think about that for a while... I travelled here after seeing WHT mentioned a few times in the usenet newsgroup alt.www.webmaster.

I was searching for a host and working up a massive headache. While relieving that headache by numbing my mind on the sweet looking cases at hardforum.com I stumbled into the "Webmastering & Programming" section.

There's a sticky thread with a link to here in that section. Needless to say I now have a host and my headache is gone. :)

I think I actually got here from hostinvestigator and I think that was Matts first site, and then he opened WHT.

I, too, was searching for a new host and through some search engine (can't remember which) I found hostinvestigator.com. The bookmark I actually had for the longest time was that URL instead of webhostingtalk.com. Been addicted ever since... :)

Looking for a dedicated server (a while ago) I saw a link saying , "Welcome Webhostingtalk Members", searched in Google about WHT, and I find it.
I can't remember now which host was the one with the link.

I came across it in my process of doing a hand count of every web site for Al Gore (the inventor of the internet). I have been keying every possible combination of url characters and seeing if a site exists. I am also counting Chads (domains with 'this domain is registration pages'), and Hanging Chads (registered domains that don't go anywhere). I am currently at aaaafx24yawc-ufklv.com.

My try at humor today.

Actually I think I found it through Yahoo or MSN search.

I am another person who found this place through freewebspace.net. For a moment, people would post in the paid hosting section of FWS and EVERYBODY would tell them to go to WHT.

Also, Chicken is at both, even though he spends an awful lot of time HERE, and not bery much THERE.

Surprisingly, i couldn't remember how i come across wHT. But I find WHT is quite a very good forum with many users online to have 'instant' interaive discussion around and probably a good forum to get someone help solve your problem. ( can be off-webhost topic :) )

Gordon Hudson from hostroute.com told me about webhostingtalk.com in alt.www.webmaster. I asked some hosting related questions and he recommended checking out this site.

Here's exactly what he said:
“Hello
Have a look at http://www.webhostingtalk.com/ you will find lots of discussion about this there.”

That’s how I got started :D
