Just to let you all know i took them up on there offer and it has turned out to be very fair... The service is more than acceptable for the price paid... The server is a proper server and the datacenter is a bolt of lightening for the UK & European market i havent been able to test this from further afield...

So these guys get the thumbs up for the first week of using there service...

Well worth the money... I believe it would be hard to beat as i was looking for a server around their money for a few weeks beforehand and wasnt impressed by the hosts i contacted...

I ordered one of these servers - absolutely fantastic! Setup was quick, support was good (especially helpful with the usual teething problems). Our USA servers give us pings between 99 and 159ms from the UK - on this server i am getting 18ms and downloads are maxing my broadband at 1.2mbps - no idea just how fast the server can go but i do know it's bloody quick.

I'm about to start transferring all of our operations to the UK, starting with a winserver.

Highly recommend these people.

*UPDATE*

Things are not looking good. I ordered another server, made payment (5/6/2006) and have had no contact since. I have 5 open tickets with both their support and sales departments which are not being responded to, I have tried calling them on many occasions - once transferred through, the line drops!

This is a real shame as the actual product I have from them is fantastic but they really need to get their act together when it comes to dealing with their customers.

When i made payment i was sent an automated email that stated i would 'have my account details within 24 hours'. I contacted my old host and requested that they terminate my current dedicated server and started backing up customer sites. Due to our 24 hours now being over 120 hours (and rising - Its the weekend now) I have had to purchase a reseller account as an interim solution while i await the new server from BlackIce as I don't want my customers left with no websites.

This is now going to involve extra work for me and further disruption for my customers.

I don't want to publicly slate any company on here but if this is the only way that I can get any kind of contact then, i am afraid, needs must!

Would someone from BlackIce please contact me and tell me what the situation is with my current order - Thank you in advance.
