I just purchased to cs-cart and was wondering if any of you have any experience in switching carts? Can I use the same database as the one I have now if I delete the entire zencart? Or should I just create a new database to put it in. Also, I bought the package where they will install it for me, but I am kinda leery of someone I don’t know having all of my passwords and user names. I installed the zencart myself with no problem and after finding the right tool to unzip the cs-cart, it doesn’t look any different than what I had to do with zencart. Thanks for any help. John

Zencart uses an OSCmmerce based database which from memory puts data all over the place. The best method I've found is to extract as much data as you can and prepare a new database in Excel in the format that CSCart requires.

When you've done export the Excel file to a CSV file ready for importing into CSCart. You should at least get most of your data transferred.

I also left Zen for CS-Cart. What type of sucess are you having with the new cart?
