Hi
Which of the following symbols is allowed in making up a Domain name ?
Dashes -
Underscores _
Slashes /
Dots .
Also whch extensions are allowed in a Domain name ?
.com
.net
.ca etc.

only dashes are allowed , dots usually separate subdomains from domains
for example
demo.example.com
you register example.com first then setup demo.example.com
but you cant register demo.example.com
except for .name TLD you can regiter firstname.lastname.name and .museum where you can register some.thing.museum

If you want to be clever, you can do things like this:
star-trek-cat.who-loves-the-b.org
st.ar-trek.ca/t.who-loves/the-borg
Not a lot of use other than being clever, though.

Only dashes,numbers,letters
There are hundreds of domain extensions like com net org info biz eu de fr it ru etc

These are IDN domains. As far as I am aware, possible to register for at least couple of years already.
