Hi everyone,

I'm looking for an established domain registrar with bulk management tools e.g. will allow me to bulk transfer domains, bulk change DNS settings, and also one that offers WHOIS privacy.

I currently have over 200 domains with RegisterFly, but I'm at the end of my tether with them. I've a number of domains due to expire soon and their system is failing to renew them. Trouble tickets are responded to after long delays (over 24 hours wait), the responses are often unhelpful and their 24/7 phone support line disconnects me after holding for long periods.

Please only suggest registrars with bulk management tools such as those offered by RegisterFly and only registrars with currently functional systems. I need to get my domains moving before they expire.

Thanks

I'd advice you to contact Paul ( WHT : RegFly ) and see if they can be of some help.

Registrars who offer bulk management + whois privacy : GoDaddy / eNom / Directi / Registerfly

Also, 1 post and 200 domains with Registerfly? :D Sounds good!

Thanks for the quick repsonse!

Yup, I'm pretty much a lurker until now! :D

I'm a little weary of staying with RegisterFly, given the horror stories I'm currently reading, which is unfortunate because I've been happy with them for quite a while until now.

I tried Directi a couple of years ago and found their interface too confusing (I had a reseller account) so aren't keen to return their either.

I also have an eNom reseller account, which I got through one of my first hosts and their name keep coming back in eNom emails to haunt me.

I've not had any experience with GoDaddy yet so perhaps I'll give them a try with a few of my soon to expire domains.

Thanks again.

Any other recommendations from anyone else?

We recently revised the renewal process as we are transferring names from different providers. Some people are slightly confused over the process so we are doing our best to make it easier to understand and follow. If you can email me or PM me your userID I can look into it for you.

RegFly,

I would really appreciate that as I've recently had some domain renewals (or were they transfers!?) fail and I've tried again today, but they're still showing in the transfers panel.

Anyway, PM on its way :)

I don't seem to be able to PM... Is there a post threshold?

Yes 5 posts you need

Also we have this posted on our site

:: Question
I just renewed my domain name and the 1 year was not added yet? I also received a transfer request. What is going on?

:: Answer
We have a new renewal process in place as of 2/1. Previously RegisterFly.com used multiple providers to handle our backend domain name registrations. We are now consolidating from multiple providers into RegisterFly.com directly. When you submit a renewal request we will be requesting the transfer from the different providers directly to RegisterFly.com, inc an ICANN acredited registrar. When the name transfers over the full year will be added to your domain name. Your site and settings will remain unchanged during this transition. If you have any questions please feel free to contact our support department at support@registerfly.com

Please PM me and I will look into it

Yep, I read that, but I don't understand why you would request a transfer when you already are my registrar for the domains I'm trying to renew.

When I tried to renew some domains recently (they show as renew/transfer transactions) I ended up with emails, "We were unable to complete your transfer order to Registerfly.com due to errors returned by the registry".

I logged a ticket today. Hopefully, you'll be able to advise and hopefully I'll be able to PM after this post.

We use to be a reseller for a number of companies (enom, tucows, melbourne, srsplus just to name a few). We are now moving over all of these names into our own accredition. When you renew we are transferring the name and adding one year when the transfer completes. I will look for your PM

One of their rep. approved my transfer/renewal request manually and then it was done ( Transfered to their new system ) in 4-5 business days.

Lets hope RegFly can arrange something similar for you also.

Just wanted to say thanks to RegFly and CSDesk for helping out.

I understand about the renew/transfer thing now. Thanks for clarifying that for me.

I've got renewals due throughout the year so I do hope I can call on you again for assistance.

That's nothing. IIRC davezan has over 4,000 there. Right dave?

As to the original question. Most registrars have some form of Bulk Management of domains. Some are easier to use than others. Some have more features than others. GoDaddy's is amongst the best, imho. I like it so much that I use it even when I'm only editing 1 domain :) Really!!
