How & where to find out top 10 web designers price list for websites?

Most are based on quotes. Like how many scripts/pages you need.

You might want to try to outsource it outside US/Canada and Western Europe since they will provide you with similiar service with lower price. Try eastern europe or asia ;-)

It depends upon your budget and quality work possibly you are going to expect from a particular designer. I personally would prefer a freelancer designer from a designer community or forum that who can turn the idea into outstanding products or service.

Our web design arm charges always on the project itself, what content is involved and what the overall site design is going to be.

Anyone who charges a flat fee usually employs the template route (as far as we have ever seen) or is just bad at design!

As above, searcdh google and try sites like getafreelancer.com and put up a quote request, you'll be surprised what you can get for your money.

Also, always check out a potential companies portfolio as this will let you see what they are capable of and if in doubt, try contacting some of the companies the deisgner has created sites for and get a peronsal recommendation from them.
