Hi,

I have a question 'Is there a way to receive money in my account from customers using credit cards etc..without using an online merchant?'

Also 'How do online merhcants work exactly do they charge a certain percentage of your transaction or do they have a flt out montly fee?'

Finally 'I want to make a website similar to getafreelancer.com , is there a script out there with a similar system to that?'

Thanks,

PS: I wrote out a much more detailed post before this but then it said I needed 5 post to use VB code -_-ll I was so angry. I mean whats the point?

PSS: Its taken me half an hour to post this one thread, writing and re-writing!

paypal.com and 2chekout.com will allow you to receive money in your account using credit cards......

They will charge you a percentage per transaction and a monthly fee.

So there is no possible way to receive money in your account using a script. Is it possible to set up something with your bank?

You need some sort of software to process the transaction, yes. But you also need a merchant account or a "3rd party processor". If you're in the United States, you should probably obtain a merchant account, or start with just Paypal. If you're in another country, you may need to use a 3rd party processor.

With a merchant account, you need: merchant account, payment gateway (like authorize.net, linkpoint, etc), and some software to accept customer payments (like a shopping cart).

With a "3rd party processor", you just need an account with the processing company (Paypal, 2 Checkout, etc) and software to accept customer payments.
