I was reading posts on this forum to see feedbacks of namecheap, and I came across some posts where Customers outside of USA are complaining about account locking.
My account is not locked yet, but I'm worried about it because I am living in Asia not in US. I have currently 8 domains at NameCheap and was planning to register 22 more domains within this month, but NameCheap looks to be a reliable registarar only for US customers.
I contacted NameCheap about 48 hours before, regarding this issue, I requested them to not to lock my account and verify my Information without locking it. And yet I have not received a reply. A namecheap rep on this forum told that their Help People are online 24/7 . So that means NameCheap is ignoring me, I also read many posts o this forum about NameCheap not replying its customer, and that is a True Statement.

Please also suggest some Domain registarars who do care for International Customers and have similar pricing to NameCheap.
I also would like to transfer my current domains to new regitarar, if I don't hear a reply from their support team.

Pawas,

No one from our company is ignoring you. We have answered hundreds of support emails in the last 48 hours. We would not randomly decide to ignore any of them. If you are not receiving a reply, you need to make sure your spam filters are off or try emailing us from a different email address. You can also try PMing me here.

As far as our policy towards international users goes; we probably are one of the most international friendly registrars based in the US and have customers all over the world. We do not block anyone from visiting our site unlike some other registrars.

Although we do sometimes place suspected fraud accounts on hold, we always allow people to confirm their accounts and we personally call anywhere in the world to do this. Once an account has been confirmed, it is flagged as so and will never be disturbed again.

When you see a few complaints from posters here and there, you need to put that into perspective and consider we have literally hundreds of thousands of clients so it is very limited as compared to the actual amount of clients we provide service for. To make an assumption from this that we are somehow international unfriendly is very inaccurate.

I live in asia too, pawas. Even in a country that PayPal will not do business with because it's on the list of money laundering countries. I have had no problems with NameCheap. I think Richard speaks the truth in his post above.

Thanks for a polite reply. I contacted your support using your contact form on your site. Now I will email directly from my account, Hope I receive a reply this time. What I am worried about is "Will my domains face downtime for days, when you lock my account for verification?. I get thousands of visitors per day on these domains, and downtime will be a big loss for me."

I live in a country which just recently became "Paypal-certified". However, I haven't had any problems with Namecheap in the past (I am not currently using them as I've got a good deal from Moniker). Usually, accounts become locked *FOR A REASON*...

I finally received a reply from NameCheap, Thanks. I'm staying with NameCheap for now, because of one main reason. I love their control panel :)

I love it too ; ) , my account was locked because they need to verify fraud billing. Everything is fine at this time. Now I have 24 domains in my account ;)

NameCheap said me this

If you would like to avoid this
issue you may provide us the username to your account and then send us a
scan of your Identification and a copy of the credit card you will be using
(front/back).

Is it ok to send a copy of the credit card front/back to them?

It's a common practice among online merchants. Anyway, they know all your credit card info already, so I see no big issue sending them the scans.
