Hi,

I'm not sure if this is the absolute right place to post this, however I'm wondering if anyone has any idea for a good (preferrably web-based) employee management system?

It would be very helpful.

Thank you for anything suggestions. :)

I personally like HROffice and that's what I'll probably be using when my business grows enough. The only feature it lacks is a Payroll system. It has a payroll connector that allows you to connect to other payroll systems, but none itself.

This should probably be moved to a different forum though. :)

jtimbre,
Not sure what you are looking to do with your employees, but I just use Kayako to delegate work through SupportSuite. It has a teamwork area that you can have them post their work and you can schedule meetings with them and insert tasks and events for them. Each employee can post on it as well, and you can get to the minute how many hours they have worked on each project.

With Payroll, I just use Quickbooks Online. Cheap and fast for online based use.

You can go for eResource scheduler. Completely web based tool for employee management and planning. Offers you some advance features like drag & drop scheduling, identification of resources on the basis of roles, skills and attributes, financial report, etc. You can check out the site for a 14 day free trial and more details about this collaborative & configurable employee/staff and resource scheduling software.

You can try nimble.com, not sure if it's what you are looking for but it's great.

I have found that Podio works great although it too does not have anything payroll related

I'm not sure of the size or budget of your company but I have used the Oracle module and find it to be excellent software. It can also be nicely integrated into your GL system and AP.

there are many different kinds of employee management systems, you can find them out and you can also search it in google, there you will find the useful list of various employee management systems, the best way to find the best software is by reading reviews,

Depending on how your company works. Have you looked at a CRM based approach such as SUGER CRM of VTIGER CRM??

Might be worth your time looking at that and its free. It will take a bit of time to get use to, but once you have figured it out. Its extremely powerful.
