There are a number of reasons for our Hong Kong Point of Presence:

1. China has incredible economic growth and growth prospects (>7%/p.a.). HK is a great place to host for the Chinese market as English is a widely understood language and HK has greater reliability of power and network as well as Western-stlyle low corruption levels.

2. Provides a place for us to offer redundancy outside of the US on a completely separate network.

3. Best place for Asia-based hosting because its central to Asia, and far better than a US location for Asian ping times.

4. We had demand for hosting there from existing and new clients so we created a standard Dedicated Server package instead of offering a pure custom quote per request.

NB. I also very much like Hong Kong, its a great city as you say - especially at night. If you go to our website the picture on the left is of Hong Kong looking down from Victoria Peak on HK Island down to Victoria Harbour Kowloon side.
