We're with totalregistrations and well... the story's quite unbelievable. They register .eu domains but they dont allow changing nameservers because they havent implemented it yet?! Its been 2 weeks since .eu's launched and they expect to not have this ready for weeks. They also refuse to do it manually.

Can you believe it?

Yes, I can.

EURid's implementation of EPP is assinine, in my humble opinion. We wasted many hours figuring out their back end. I'll bet that totalregistrations are having trouble wrapping their brains around EURid's stupidity. It was really quite unexpected that they would make some of the idiotic requirements that they did, contrary to the XML spec's in which the EPP is wrapped. And it isn't even really EPP. It's darn close, but they chose not to implement a lot of things that made EPP useful. Like the poll queue. And many of the info requests. And transferrable contacts. And on and on.

Just my $0.02....

Yes, but cmon. Weeks? Plus, what are we supposed to tell our clients?

Well, yeah. I guess it's stretching it at this point. They really sorta should have their act together by now.

Perhaps you need a different registrar. But make sure they've implemented transfers, first. ;)

Yeesh, I can only imagine the potential headaches registrars will have. :D

if i were u ,i wouldn't offer .eu registrations till the registry gets more stable

maybe offer reservation but not funcitonal domains services (just register and park for a month ot two)
