View Full Version : More domains up for sale!
Michael M 05-19-2002, 03:51 PM There are still some of the same domains up for sale from last week. And some new ones.
Quick rundown of how I work the auctions:
Obviously, in the event of only one person bidding on a domain, it will leave you to only pay the "Starting Bid" amount.
After 48 hours all bidding closes. Anything left, will be put up for auction on here next week. Transfer fees are not applied. Once payment is received via paypal you will have full access to the domain, within the following five to twenty minutes (most of the time). I work very promptly
Private message me your offers. Or if your comfortable, post them in this thread!

Hrm... Lawsuit? :stickout
Michael M 05-19-2002, 05:54 PM valuecity.net
Hardly.
Is this was the case, the dot org, info, biz, & us would be owned and operated by Value City department store. But they are not. They are owned by regular speculators such as myself.
I do not think there will be any legal trobules.
So kindly remove yourself from my thead.
PixelAxis 05-19-2002, 05:56 PM Damn... these domain names make me wish I had a hosting company! :D

Michael M 05-19-2002, 07:46 PM Thanks R.K.
And are people that critical of mis-spellings.
I obviously meant to say thread. So that was a definite freepost by you, Angel. :D

I've already mentioned to the mods that the ads need to allow for 1 post with no thread, so that comments will not affect the sale.
first off.. I want to buy sooo badly now that you've bad mouthed this poor person.
secondly - I rate domain speculators down there with spammers..
Acroplex 05-20-2002, 03:13 AM LOL get a grip on yourself. We won't die if you don't like us.

The thing is, with many of these auctioned templates on here, the comments which affect the sales are there for a reason. If someone dislikes the template, comments will be made, which will maybe drive people away from the template; but if the comments are completely positive, then the majority are going to have a bid for that template themselves. :)
My opinion anyway. Its just if the replies are taken off, it will definitely be more of a down to earth sales place, where no confirming nor discussions will be able to me made...is that what this advertisement community really needs? Just think to yourselves.
Angel78 05-20-2002, 05:26 AM Well it has nothing to do with mis-spelling, i was confused that you were so rude "to ask him to remove himself from your thread", you are supposed to be kind to customers right, and this is open forum, so we all can post our opinions, if Mods decide that we are not allowed to post answers or timechange buy's the forum, than ok.

I was rude?
Look at his post. He did not ask a question. He stated! As if he knew everything that was going on. And then added a "Stick out tongue" smiley at the end of his post like he shoved my domains back in my face. So who here is the rude one here?
Am I supposed to be kind to customers? Yes, But he is not a customer. A customer is someone who has already purchased or sent payment for an item. Rephrase your question. Am I supposed to be kind to potential customers? Yes, However this user's post obviously showed he was disinterested, yet still went out of his way to taunt me. And devalue my post.
BTW, check out my attachment below, :)

Why are you justifying the increase in negativity throughout this forum? If you do not like what is being offered, why respond? Just tell me why. Why is that much of your concern. That you must go out of your way. Click the respond button. Type out an entire message. Just to hurt somebody.

I better find a new hobby then. I do not want you to think bad of me. God forbid.
BTW, thanks Theo (timechange) for fending for those of us who kindly barter our services & products at bottom dollar prices. Yet continually get flamed, for no good reason.
Michael M 05-20-2002, 06:11 AM Woops. Forgot to attach this:

Trust me, I won't buy the forum but I report BS comments like this in a jiffy. Guess what, they get deleted.

I thought that person made a valid point. "Interlandhosting.com", I mean, really. Interland, the big hosting company -- and having their company name in a domain worded like that, can get you sued, or at least get your domain taken away. I don't even know why someone would ever own such a domain name in the first place, other than to sell it for money, because the Interland hosting company is known of. I'm going to have to question why you got so defensive, because the questioning of a potential law suit for that domain is neither paranoid, or incorrect -- it's completely possible (and likely, knowing Interland -- not that I'd blame them in this case though, I know I'd contact you and tell you to hand over the domain, if I was them, or possibly sue you if I was forced to). I guess you have some history with that poster, to have drawn the conclusion you did, or to have stated what you did, so I won't comment on that, but I think that response wasn't an attack or anything like it and I think the comment was reasonable.

That's what I'm thinking of also. Kind of like microsofthost.com . I can see a law suite on there.

It might be worse than something like MicrosoftHost. People worry too much about that. I suppose it would be a bad idea to ever want to try, but MS isn't just a web host company, like Interland is. What makes things a problem, isn't just the name all the time, it's the name used in conjunction with a product or service that another company owns the copyright or trademark to. If Interland.com sold barber shop supplies, then they couldn't go after Interlandhosting.com for doing web hosting or really trademark that name and deny anyone else from using it. But, since Interland.com is a web host, InterlandHosting.com is a good way to get sued. If this was "InterlandSoftware.com", that would probably be okay, but with web hosting, I don't think so.
