Anyone used them before? Alexandra 05-20-2002, 03:25 PM E-Starr is relitavely new company, and im planning on switching to them within a week. I know the owner and shes a really helpful person, and usually always online, so Im sure ill be getting good support. The main target is teen domains though. GURLpowered 07-16-2002, 02:16 AM My own 2 cents. e_starr sucks. They over load their servers. EStarr 07-27-2002, 02:13 PM GURLpowered was in a panic when she saw our logs harddrive fill up. There's nothing overloaded about the servers, one in fact has never had any downtime at all. GURLpowered has also lied and cheated a friend of mine, offering a free domain in exchange for a design and then taking the domain from her. From the way she's acted to me and others I know I don't believe she's trustworthy and I pitty anyone who follows through with hosting with her company. GURLpowered was on E-Starr for less than a day. Lied to me about certain things and requested a refund. Her account was terminated and her refund was given within minutes. I regret considering doing business with her again and I'm glad I didn't. I'm sorry for putting all this here, but I do not like her spreading lies about me and she's been doing it quite a lot. magnolia 07-27-2002, 02:15 PM E-STARR does not suck. I was their first customer. I've never been let down once. GURLPOWERED is known for her lies. She had lied to e-starr about my own personal webhosting company saying I had forced her to go with me. When the entire time I was cutting deals to help her get a good webhost that she can afford. She later then took back a domain name she had given to another person because she didn't think the other person was fit to have the domain name. Gurlpowered is not to be trusted. GURLpowered 08-02-2002, 02:40 AM I will not get into a fight here. E-Starr NEVER ONCE hosted my site, I had my own server which I gave up because I got sick of the b.s. emails from e-starr and their "friends" yelling at me because their friend never followed through on her end and I took back a domain name I PAID FOR, which I OWN and let their friend USE, NOT OWN nor KEEP for their own. It was theirs to use, and there was a conflict which they won't tell, that this chick decided to host somewhere else, without ever completing the design, and working for another hosting company when the real deal was to promote my company and help my company out. Now who is the liar? Not me. So go to hell e-starr and amanada at digitalriot because I am sick of you're games, for being "adults" you sure are not acting like it. At least I don't go bashing, I shared my thoughts of your service when you hosted my site for 3 days (ebeat) and left when it was overloaded and not working. So get off of my back. IGobyTerry 08-02-2002, 02:49 AM E-Starr NEVER ONCE hosted my site your service when you hosted my site for 3 days (ebeat) Did you just contradict yourself? GURLpowered 08-02-2002, 02:50 AM No, estarr did NOT host GURLpowered, they hosted my other site long before I started GURLpowered. The other site was ebeatzine.com that they hosted, they need to get their **** together. johnallen 08-02-2002, 02:55 AM Originally posted by EStarr GURLpowered was on E-Starr for less than a day. Thats funny.. she did the exact same thing to me. She ordered about 100 dollars worth of service from me and then requested a refund a couple days later. Then she signed up again and promised to send me a check and never did. ntwaddel 08-02-2002, 03:05 AM why doesent GURLpowered.com work? Synthetic 08-02-2002, 03:28 AM Just out of curiousity, is your company in any way associated with Cyberpixels? I noticed that Shi is in some of your contacts, and I believe she is a co-owner of Cyberpixels? WiredMom 08-02-2002, 06:14 AM I'm no longer a co-owner of Cyberpixels actually. Rebecca has taken over and is full owner of Cyberpixels. I help out Cyberpixels with tech/support and EStarr with helpdesk tickets sometimes. I'm sure everyone here realises how much time and stress is involved in running a webhosting company - lord knows I do now as well. As a result I dont mind helping people out if they need a hand with a helpdesk ticket or two so that they can have one nights worth of good sleep once in awhile. When I was swamped someone did that for me once or twice and so its my turn now to pass on the favor. *nodsnods* tazd9t9 08-02-2002, 06:28 AM I have only heard good things about estarr myself.....from the tone of gurlpowered's posts i wouldnt even bother listening to a thing she has 2 say |
