I saw Yahoo dedicated server (servers.yahoo.com) offers Raq4/64mb = $99 only . My questions :
- 64mb enough for 30 domains estimate?
- PHP4 and MySQL can running on Raq4 with 64mb only?
- What different Raq4i with Raq4?
- Who already have Raq4 on there?
- How about Yahoo server Customer Support?

For webserving, the most important is the RAM.
I have a RaQ4r, 512MB RAM, dual 40GB RAID1.

If you ask me...
it is NOT enough...
but...
ask them to put 512 in it?

Yes, as Fiber Optic put it, 512 mb is not enough. I definately agree..........

I think the Cobalt should have made a server with 4 slots instead of 2 and up to 2 GB of ram. ECC ram would be nice too.

In fact I mean 512 is a minimum for me since RAM is important for webservers.

But 64MB....
Well, it might be enough for hosting the webite of your pets :)

I have a RaQ 4i w/ 256 mb ram and 80+ sites that I have developed. Static HTML with some cgi/perl - nothing fancy; mainly travel sites getting 150,000+ unique visitors per month. So far everything has been fine with this "limited" ram. (I started with a RaQ2 and 32 mb.) If I were running dynamic sites (databased) I would need more ram, but so far - so good.

Be careful with Yahoo RaQs - I looked at them but did not like the bandwidth offering - seemed rather limited for throughput. But, then again, what do I know? - I do most of my development on a Mac...:stickout
