Hello everyone. My name is James. My friend is the owner of Plants.com. He wants me to sell it for him. He paid $75,000 for it back in 1997, and I know it's worth at least $750,000 on today's marketplace. My question is what is the best way to find a buyer for this domain. Obviously, it is going to take alot of work to find someone to purchase this domain, but I know it can be done. Any advice?

List the domain at:

sedo.com
afternic.com
pool.com
tdnam.com

just to name a few.

P.S. Personally for me it kinda strange such strong type-in isn't parked anywhere; showing a dull 'no website configured at this address' text...

Sorry, to go off-topic - but this issue brings a good point up. Domain names are now becoming like houses. back in the 90's you could buy them for a tenth of what they are now. Maybe domains are becoming the new houses?

Anyway back on topic - i would reccomend sedo. But be aware of how much its worth, 750,000 is alot of money, so choosing the correct way to sell, is very important. Take the time to investigate potential buyers.

I read an article in one of the webhosting magazines awhile back, one business just bought fish.com - he was also the owner of dog.com and horse or horses.com

Hes looking to put together a huge site with all of them, maybe this would strike his fancy - although it's not animal related.
