View Full Version : What do you think of: sonja.org
tpsinger 05-18-2002, 09:18 PM Hi,
Out of interest I'm just wondering what people think of sonja.org?
I'm not thinking of selling as I registered it for my girlfriend (wife in just over 1 month :D) mostly for email, far too busy to make a website
Thanks a lot,
Tom
I think it's pretty good.
That's the name of my 'girlie' as well.
I was a little disappointed the .com was gone when I thought about doing the same thing, until she announced she's completely uninterested :(
Hey, did you know sonjas.com is available, that was my second choice.
Lats...
tpsinger 05-19-2002, 05:32 AM Sonja.com dropped a while ago but snapnames didn't get it :( They got .org though
Shame really as valarie.com went for just under $5,000 on Afternic! (I think that's correct anyway)

Get a prenuptial agreement over who owns the domain before you get married. :D
No, seriously, I wish the both of you the very best... Love really is the best glue in the universe. Happiness in marriage comes from ignoring all other's opinions besides the two that matter (hint... the two of you ;) ).
Take it from me... I know the hard way.
namelessguy 05-21-2002, 07:29 PM I would agree. It's a great domain. But if your wife/girlfriend is anything like my wife, she probably wouldn't know what to do with a domain anyway, so you're probably okay.

Don't know about that, she has more hername.domain than I do now (firstname.org, firstname.org.uk, firstnamehersurname.co.uk, firstname-hersurname.co.uk, firstnamemysurname.co.uk, firstname-mysurname.co.uk) although we'll probably let firstnamehersurname.co.uk and firstname-hersurname.co.uk expire when they come up for renewal as we'll have been married for about 1 1/2 years by then and I don't think she'll have much use for them anymore :D
namelessguy 05-22-2002, 01:56 PM Right on,
I'de have to agree with the other guy then. Get a prenup.
4solutions 05-22-2002, 02:10 PM Actually, I was joking about getting a prenuptial agreement just for the domain name, sonja.org
But after going through a really nasty divorce myself, where the total legal fees alone were close to $100,000, if you have substantial assets, a prenuptial might not be a bad idea.
Just a thought...
namelessguy 05-22-2002, 07:46 PM Yep, I agree with that too. lol.
tpsinger 05-23-2002, 04:48 AM lol, a prenup for a domain name ;) I don't think we'll be getting a prenup, for one we owe more than we own (if you take into account mortgage + student loan) and I don't think we'll be breaking up *touch wood*
Less than a month now, not long to go
finnley001 05-23-2002, 06:48 AM Its pretty good for email, Id hang onto it if I were you, at least until the age of the .orgs! :stickout
