GAMPort 05-18-2002, 05:42 PM Bug fices to the control panel, new features, security updates, script updates etc. you name it. Walter 05-19-2002, 04:36 AM Bug fices to the control panel, new features, security updates, script updates, introducing new bugs. Sorry, couldn't resist after the hassle a few hours ago and Nick removed my post on cpanel.net which contained only one two words: "quality assurance". GAMPort 05-19-2002, 04:56 AM Well, you could say bugs are added as well :stickout Angel78 05-19-2002, 06:05 AM Originally posted by GAMPort Bug fices to the control panel, new features, security updates, script updates etc. you name it. So you are saying that they`ll automaticly update mysql, php and stuff if i am using cpanel? ZeonHost 05-19-2002, 12:27 PM To my knowledge, it only updates the Control Panel itself (and the pre-installed CGIs, etc). MySQL, Apache, PHP, etc. would be untouched. Mysql is updated automatically by /scripts/sysup, however Apache and PHP need to be updated manually with the buildapache program available from layer1.cpanel.net. But Plesk is unfortunately in many respects worse than CPanel. At least according to our clients. |
