View Full Version : Need a merchant account.
Bogdan 05-18-2002, 02:45 PM Hello,
Can someone recommend me a mechant account that DOES have reocurring billing in the control panel, DOES settle money within 4business and DOES not feed with bs.
I've been through 2 merchant accounts this month, both fed me with complete bull.. and did not provide with service that I was promised, but they were quick to charge my bank account with a bunch of fees.
apollo 05-18-2002, 04:30 PM hello, i think the only one that allows on-line recurring billing without feeding in your own cc data is ibill.com but they charge rather high fee 15% if I remember correctly. You can also get connected with your own merchant account but I am not quite sure about rates they offer. Maybe someone can post. Hope this helps
Bogdan 05-18-2002, 04:39 PM apollo,
Thanks for your reply.
I'm looking for a real merchant account, not 3rd-party like iBill.com
So far revecom proven to be better than any real merchant accounts that we have used.
It surprises me that it's hard to find an honest merchant processor, you sign up, 3 days later they sent me different charges which we never even knew about when we signed the contracts. But that's not what bothers me. I just need a merchant that will work 100% after it's activated, no random problems like batches that never made it to our bank account, or something like they put your account on hold for some reason and do not even notify you about it.
I'm not looking for the cheapest solution, I'm looking for something that's reliable.
I need recurring billing in our control panel, fast transfer to our bank account, and thats all I'm asking for. We signed up for a merchant a week ago, they setup our account and told us that recurring will be available in late July - but they told us that it was already available when we were signing the contract.
This whole thing is going to make crazy soon.
wh2.net 05-19-2002, 01:20 AM Hi Bogdan,
Take a look/contact sales reps at http://www.paymentech.net/ - very nice guys.
apollo 05-19-2002, 03:23 AM Hi,
as I said ibill.com offers recurring option with your own merchant account. You should check this URL
http://www.ibill.com/Services/iBillProcessingPlus/
I am not quite sure how good their service is, what are their rates, but I am sure someone is using them and will be happy to give some feedback.
Sincerely, Apollo

Revcom is not a real merchant account either. They are a 3rd party subscriber.
Bogdan 05-19-2002, 03:29 PM netsolutions,
You might want to reread my sentence. ;)

Oopps. It's been a long long day. Sorry :D
otherground 05-19-2002, 05:00 PM http://www.emscorporate.com works for us ... i recommend
NitidNet 05-21-2002, 12:19 AM I might be able to hook you up with a special deal with the people I go through. I'll give you an email tomorrow after talking to them.
NovaW 05-21-2002, 01:14 AM there seems to merchant providers as far as the eye can see...
we spent what seemed like weeks evaluating merchant accounts and ended up with 1st national bank of Omaha - the rates were competitive, are a well established bank and had a good bundled deal on Verisign payflo pro. No idea how they compare to other places on a day to day basis.

One thing we found was the fees and rates were very negotiable - the 1st number they quote is way higher than you can get with a bit of back & forth.
