I'm going to be hosting a number of websites, and so have to decided to go for a dedicated server. Rackshack's pricing seems perfect, but I'm a little worried about their level of support should anything go wrong.

Are their any companies offering managed dedicated hosting, for around $99 per month, with around 400 Gb bandwidth? Thanks. :)

managed dedicated for $99? i don't think you'll find that.

you could possibly look at www.webreseller.net who offers a great "semi-managed" solution.

oh yeah, nocster is a new offering on the scene that might suit you.

the closest one for the budget you can get is burst.net nocster, they are offering 300gb for $99, but they're having some problem of their network and reliablity problems...

You won't get a managed server for 99 $with 400 GB bandwidth. More like 15 GB for a managed server.

Rackshack are good enough as long as you don't need any handholding. If you do there are even people that will help you for a one time fee so you will always be able to get help as long as you are willing to pay the "small" price.

I also suggest you to go with webreseller.net. They are nice guys :). Yes, you'll spend a little more $$$, but they offer a semi-managed solution. It's a quite health-giving :D.

Thanks for all of the replies! With regards to what support I'm after, it's just the peace of mind to know that should Linux throw some horrible errors at me, that there'd be someone who I could contact to give me advice (other than this forum!). After reading several posts, it seems that Rackshack are less than friendly with their support.

Thanks again,
Peter Z.

Hire an admin, though that could cost 99/month ;).

Check out NOCSTER (http://www.nocster.net), they seem to have what you're looking for.
